This was a lil doodle I sketched up for a friend of mine a couple of months ago... this was a trade off for other services he provided me and after telling him I was a keen sketcher whilst viewing other artworks in his house he seemed queerly excited about getting a 'nudey' drawing off of me... but he seemed quite happy with the outcome even though a few of her proportions are out.

The Garden

Hello all... 

This is my first attempt at a blog 'shock horror' and with all great intentions I hope I will continue with committed postings. I have followed and watched a few friends progress and flower within there own pages, sitting back and admiring their efforts I cant help but think how wonderful one of my own would be... a place of my own much like a garden. I can plant and sculpt my ideas and thoughts as well as sit back and reflect on current progressions and relax.. and even maybe take in some criticism or pats on the back.

I've always considered myself as a bit of arty bastard, not an artist, this i say because I've never really sold anything and up to a year or two ago would not show a single piece of work off to any friends or family with two exceptions.. one you may have been lucky enough to be in the same room as me while I've been drawing or two my work has been for university and I've had no other choice. I can't really put my finger on why I do this but the nearest thing I can give is to say that I'm a little bit of a perfectionist and no way is this a statement in saying my work is perfect or close to perfection but more i can see faults or muck ups within my work that literally just ruin it for me and I'd just rather screw the fucker up and pretend it never happened... but in hind sight I'm no longer a child and need to man up and be more charitable with my work, whether its for me or others... im sure its more for me.
